Thinking Through Declarer Play with Adam Parrish

CA$72 every 4 weeks with 1 week free trial

In each week’s 90 minute session, Adam guides us through each hand, sharing the thinking that can help us improve our declarer play. There’s not always a right and wrong way – that’s not how bridge works. The focus is on how we think about the deal and the plan we make. Play the hands during the live session or in the following week. A library of recorded lessons is available to all members of the class.

Take part in a new interactive online play session each week. Play hands created by Adam Parrish. Each week, you can join Adam live or watch the video later while playing in the weekly private tournament at BBO. This class is focused on card play and is appropriate for both Standard and Acol players. No need to find a partner – everyone is sitting South and playing with robots. All active members of the class are able to:

  • Attend new supervised play sessions every week and/or play the hands later at your convenience
  • A weekly worksheet with hand records and hand analysis by Adam
  • Access a library of past lessons available via replay
  • Ask Adam bridge questions via the class page

Adam’s weekly play sessions continue every Thursday, billed automatically every four weeks. Cancel anytime. Play sessions and hand files are generally available via replay to members of the class for six months.

About the class:

The key to being a good declarer is your thought process at trick one — before you play from the dummy. This is one of Adam’s specialties: he literally wrote the book on the subject! Twice! (When to Draw Trumps and When to Bid Notrump (And How to Play It.) Adam focuses on how to make a plan as declarer, noting the difference between suit contracts and notrump.
Each week Adam gives us hands from real life — no made up teaching hands here. We get to tackle them on our own first, and then Adam talks us through his thought process and shows us how he would play. There’s not always a right and wrong way — that’s not how bridge works. The focus is on how we think about the deal and the plan we make.
Each class is recorded, so you re-watch later or you can get the lesson even if you can’t make it live. The hands are playable for a week following the lesson on BBO. There’s also a worksheet each week with the hand records and Adam’s written analysis.
